MACI Industrial Solutions provides complete rebuild services for equipment and machinery for steel processing and other heavy industry. MACI has the capabilities and the experience to perform rebuilds of all sizes and complexities, from basic weld repairs to critical, complex assemblies with multiple high-speed rotating components and critical fits.

MACI’s Rebuild Process

  • Complete equipment teardown and cleaning including steam cleaning, pressure washing, and sand blasting, as needed.
  • Thorough inspection generating full reports showing actual dimensions compared to print specifications. MACI’s engineers develop a complete solution, with equipment dimensions, replacement parts, and other repair/rebuild items for production clearly described. The expertise of MACI’s rebuild group facilitates continuous suggestions for material changes, tolerance revisions, and maintenance practice modifications, with the goal of extending the service time of customer equipment.
  • Customer communication to deliver inspection findings, including detailed photos of problem areas, and to finalize the rebuild solution. MACI’s efficient teardown and inspection processes allow for timely feedback to the customer regarding the condition of their equipment. The issues found, the necessary repairs or replacements, and sourcing for replacement parts (from the customer or from MACI) are all addressed, along with other applicable information.
  • Pricing development for rebuild and repair procedures as discussed with the customer. Includes cost of fabricated replacement components, procurement of any purchased components, reassembly, testing, preparation, and delivery.
  • Rebuild and repair. All work follows the customer-approved engineered solution exactly—nothing is left open to interpretation or chance.
  • Final inspection including complete movement testing to full extent of the machine’s capability. This ensures that the customer receives their rebuilt equipment in a condition that meets or exceeds original manufacturer specifications.

The MACI Advantage

MACI’s engineering department is directly involved with all rebuilds in order to extend the service life and improve the performance of your equipment, while reducing the long-term costs associated with refurbishment.

With everything under one roof, MACI is able to perform rebuilds faster, more efficiently, and more cost effectively than other engineering houses who may contract out their fabrication and machining.

MACI follows up on every rebuild we complete. We contact our customers to ensure that startup of their rebuilt machinery went as planned and that their equipment’s performance is meeting expectations. Additionally, for customers whose equipment has gone through multiple rebuild cycles, MACI will help expedite future rebuilds by keeping spares and consumable parts in stock when possible.
